Good Questions, Honest Answers

Everything Evansville neighbors usually want to know before their first visit — and if we missed one, just call.

What areas around Evansville do you serve?

We're based in Evansville (47708) and cover about a 20-mile reach. That's the whole city, from downtown, Riverside and Haynie's Corner to the West Side, the north side and the far east side, plus nearby towns like Newburgh, Chandler, Darmstadt, McCutchanville, Mount Vernon and Boonville, and Henderson across the river in Kentucky. If you're near the edge of that line, call and ask; we can usually make it work, especially for a longer list.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes. For most jobs we can give you a firm price from a few photos and a quick phone call. Larger or less predictable work gets a free look in person. Either way, you'll know the number before anything gets scheduled.

Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

We price by the job whenever possible, so you know the cost before we start. For open-ended punch-list visits we'll agree on a rate and a rough scope together, so nothing comes as a surprise. If the work goes quicker than expected, the price moves in your favor.

Are your pros licensed and insured?

Yes. The work is done by insured local pros who hold the licenses and registrations required in Indiana for the job at hand, so electrical and plumbing connections are handled by licensed tradespeople. Ask us anything before we start.

What jobs do you take on?

The everyday repair and upkeep list: drywall and plaster patches, door adjustments, TV and shelf mounting, furniture assembly, ceiling fans and light fixtures, dimmers and smart switches, hardwired doorbells and thermostats, faucet, toilet and disposal repairs and replacements, fence and gate fixes, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, paint touch-ups, garage storage and seasonal maintenance. Send us everything, even the little items, and we'll plan one visit around it.

Do you work in older homes with plaster walls?

All the time. Riverside, Bayard Park, the blocks around Washington Avenue and much of the West Side are full of houses built before drywall was common. Plaster cracks, loose lath, out-of-square door frames and older wiring are part of the territory, and we work carefully around them, matching textures and protecting original trim and floors.

Can you help get my house ready for storm season and winter?

Yes, and it's one of the most useful visits we do. In spring we clear gutters and downspouts, check that splash blocks and extensions carry water away from the foundation, and secure loose fence boards and gates before the thunderstorms. In fall we clean gutters again after the leaves drop, shut off and drain outside faucets, re-caulk drafty windows and doors, and check smoke and carbon monoxide alarms before the furnace starts running.

Can I just text you a photo of the problem?

Please do. A couple of clear photos, one close up and one from across the room, plus a sentence about what's going on, is usually enough for us to understand the job and often to price it. It also means we show up with the right parts the first time.

How do I schedule, and how far out are you booked?

Call or use the contact form with your address and a short description of the work. We'll confirm a real arrival window, not an all-day wait, and let you know if we're running behind. Small jobs can often be fit in the same week; longer lists may take a little more lead time so we can block enough hours to finish in one visit.

Got a list? Let's shorten it.

One quick call or text gets you a real price and a real arrival time — usually within the week.
